Light Rye Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 300 ml Water
  • 1.5 Tbsp Olive oil
  • 150 g Rye flour
  • 350 g Strong white flour
  • 7 g Fast Action Dried Yeast
  • 10 g Salt
  • 10 g Brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Sunflower seeds

Instructions
 

Bread Machine

  • Put the wet ingredients into the bread machine and then the dry ingredients into the bread machine pan as in the General Guide.
  • Set the machine on the standard white setting and press start

Stand Mixer

  • Add the flour into the mixing bowl
  • Add the salt, sugar and yeast in separate edges of the bowl
  • Make a well in centre of the flour and add the oil
  • Add the water and mix for 8 minutes.
  • Oil a bowl and transfer the ball of dough into it and cover with a cloth. Leave to stand for 1 hour or until dough has doubled in size
  • Empty the dough on to a lightly floured surface. Stretch and fold the dough several times and then form into an oblong to fit your bread pan
  • Grease and lightly flour bread pan and put the dough into the bread pan and cover for one hour
  • While the dough is rising, preheat the oven to 200ÂșC.
  • Put the bread pan in the middle of the oven and bake for 36 minutes.
  • Remove the bread from tin and transfer to a wire rack to cool.
