Gooseberry compote

Ingredients
- 500 grams gooseberries
- 100 grams sugar white granulated
Instructions
- Wash the gooseberries and put into slow cooker and add the sugar. Squash the ingredients down with the back of spoon to break up the fruiy
- Put in medium heat for 3 hours. Occasionally squash the fruit a little more and stir
- Allow to cool.
- Store in fridge for up to 3 days
Alternative with pan
- Alternatively this recipe can be done in a pan. Bring the mixture to temperature and then simmer gently for 30 minutes, squashing and stirring occasionally
