Ciabatta pizza (air fryer)

also can be made with baguette or focaccia

Equipment

  • air fryer

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ciabatta
  • 120 ml passata
  • 40 g mozzarella
  • 40 g grated cheese Emmenthal or mild Cheddar
  • black pepper to taste

Choice of toppings

  • pepperoni, chorizo, bacon pieces, diced ham
  • red pepper, sliced onion, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, black olives halved etc.

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat air fryer to 182ºC
  • Cut ciabatta to fit the width of your air fryer. Slice in half lengthwise. Then cut into portions for each person if making smaller pieces for children.
  • Lightly spray both sides. Place in air fryer basket/tray with the crust side upwards (only cook in a single layer – cook the pizzas in batches if needed). Air Fry at 182°C for 2 minutes.
  • Turn the ciabatta over and add sauce and toppings.
  • Air Fry at 182°C for 2-4 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted. Air fry for about 2 minutes first. If you want the top to be crispier, cook for a minute or two longer.
