Gooseberry Compote

Gooseberry compote

Ingredients
  

  • 500 grams gooseberries
  • 100 grams sugar white granulated

Instructions
 

  • Wash the gooseberries and put into slow cooker and add the sugar. Squash the ingredients down with the back of spoon to break up the fruiy
  • Put in medium heat for 3 hours. Occasionally squash the fruit a little more and stir
  • Allow to cool.
  • Store in fridge for up to 3 days

Alternative with pan

  • Alternatively this recipe can be done in a pan. Bring the mixture to temperature and then simmer gently for 30 minutes, squashing and stirring occasionally
