Ingredients
  

  • 100 g Oat flakes
  • 100 g Barley flakes
  • 100 g Wheat flakes
  • 100 g Rye flakes
  • 65 g Sunflower seeds
  • 65 g Pumpkin seeds
  • 350 g Mixed nuts: Your choice of Walnuts Almonds, Hazelnuts, Macadamia, Brasil

Instructions
 

  • You can mix this directly into your storage container
  • Weigh out all the flakes and seeds and add to your container
  • I mix the nuts by volume rather than weight and always includes walnuts and almonds but this is all a matter of personal choice. I always prepare more nuts than needed and keep in a separate container. Useful if you want to sprinkle on extra nuts.
  • Put each of type of nut in a strong bag and smash with rolling pin – not too much. Almonds should be on average broken in half. Some pieces will be smaller and some nuts still whole. Walnuts should be approximately broken in quarter. If you buy broken walnuts then they are cheaper and you can use them directly from the pack.
  • Add the nuts to your storage container and close. Give the container a good shake in all directions, turning over and around to ensure all the ingredients are evenly mixed.
